BOWLING.

Keen interest in bowling is still maintained notwithstanding the lateness of the season. The Toms Ferns, which were won by a junior team on New Year’s day, are still held in Foxton and are likely to remain here till the end of the season. This game should create a good deal of interest, but the challenging team will have to be something out of the ordinary to get possession of the coveted trophies as the holders are a very strong combination.
