FOOTBALL.
Mr J. Procter presided on Thursday evening over a meeting of the Management Committee of the Horowhenua Rugby Union, held at Levin. Those present were: Messrs W. Be van, Horn and Rout secretary)- It was decided that all clubs pay their entrance c. id i.isura. e f s before playing in any match. A vote of thanks was passed to Mrs Higgins for her generous gift of a banner for the junior competition. The Management Committee of the Horowhenua Rugby Union decided on Thursday night that Mr Whibley’s notice of motion with regard to the appointment of referees should lie ou the table until the next meeting. It was also resolved that it be a recommendation to the Referees’ Association that, where possible, home referees be not appointed.
