DISCHARGED, AFTER THREE TRIALS.

The third trial of Frederick William Green on a charge of stealing ,£155 7s 6d while secretary ot the Wellington Working Men’s Club, took place at the Supreme Court to-day. According to the evidence, Green was dismissed for carelessness and negligence, but 110 dishonesty was suspected. It was afterwards found that there was a discrepancy between the club s books and tbe bank records, and a charge was laid. After a retirement of some hours the jury failed to agree.
The Crown Prosecutor entered a stay ot proceedings, and Green was discharged.
