HEMP AND TOW RETURNS.

The total number of bales ol hemp graded during April was 9169, as compared with 6478 bales for the corresponding month of last year, an increase of 2691 bales. For the twelve months ending 30th April, i 91 2, the number of :> tics gr 1 led was 88,375, as compared with 105,478 for the previous twelve months, the decrease being 17,103 bales. During the month 2474 bales ot tow were dealt with, as compared with 1590 for the corresponding month ot last year an increase ot BS4 bales.
