MOTOR ACCIDENT.
A motor car accident, which fortunately was not attended by any very serious results, occurred at about six o’clock on Sunday evening ou the Leviu-Foxton road just south of the Whirokino bridge. Here a motor car, driven by Mr W. Palmer, ol Levin, collided with a gig, driven by Mr A. Ireland, a fiaxcutte.r working on the Moutoa Estate. It was fairly dark at the time aud neither vehicles had lights. The occupant of the gig was thrown out and sustained a severe cut ou the forehead, necessitating several stitches being put iu. Those in the car —four in all —escaped without any injury, but the car was considerably damaged. Tbe piece ol road where the collision took place was straight, being just this side of Mr C. Symons' residence. Tbe driver of the car states that he was proceeding at a moderate speed, hut Mr Ireland says that the car was travelling at a very fast pace and he did not see it approaching until it was almost ou top of him.
