SHOOTING AFFRAY.

Auckland, April i

The Herald’s correspondent at Whakatane reports a shooting affray at Tauiatua ou Saturday. A farmer and photographer are alleged to have quarrelled over a disputed account, and when the farmer was leaving the photographer’s premises the latter, it is said, fired at him with a revolver, the bullet entering the muscles of the shoulder and causing a wound about two inches deep. The bullet was extracted. The wound is not considered dangerous.

The photographer then gave himself un to the police, and was brought before a justice and remanded tili Wednesday.
