AMENDMENT TO SCAEE OF
CHARGES
At last night's Council meeting the Mayor stated that rn conversation Mr Heunessy had mentioned that the Catholic Church intended to run a series of dances again this winter and would be agreeable to hire the Coronation Hall if suitable terms could be arranged. A desultory discussion on the matter took place. Councillors generally voicing the opinion that \\ neu any club or society engaged the hall lor a series of socials etc., a reduction should be made, and it was eventually decided on the motion of Cr Greig seconded by Cr Adams, that any local club or society using the hall tor socials and dances should receive a reduction ot 33)3 per cent, on the scale ot charges it they occupy the K \\ * ... . \.
