OBITUARY.

MR R. T. MORLEY — AGED 47 YEARS.

The hand of death has claimed yet another of Foxton’s residents, iu the person of Mr Robert T. Morley who passed away yesterday morning. The immediate cause of death was dropsy. The ' te Mr Morley had been confined

his bed for ten days previous sdl his sudden death was not expected. On Tuesday he passed a very bad night, but got a little rest on Wednesday morning. Whilst Mrs Morley was engaged in another room some time later she heard him gasping for breath and rushed in time to see him pass away. The late Mr Morley was born in London 47 years ago and was the son of a rope and twine merchant. As a young man he followed the life of a sailor, eventually landing in Wellington 22 years ago. Alter spending two years there he came on to Foxton where he has resided ever since.

The late Mr Morley leaves a widow to mourn her loss. His only other relative in the colonies, is a brother, who is a merchant in Adelaide.

The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon, leaving his late residence at 2 o’clock tor the Foxton cemetery.
