CARGO PILLAGERS.

Auckland, Feb. 27

The police are making an active crusade against cargo pillagers, and to-day four firemen off the steamer Waimana were brought belore the Magistrate aud charged with stealing rolls of cloth from the vessel. They were remanded for a week.

At the Supreme Court, a waterside worker was charged with pillaging cargo from Queen Street wharf, but was acquitted.
