SUPREME COURT.
Christchurch, Feb. 15
At the Supreme Court, in the perjury case against Tvventymau Wilsou, the jury disagreed. Archibald Wilsou, for indecent assault, was sentenced to twelve months’, Tom H. Selwood was found not guilty of indecent assault. George Fraser, on two charges of theft, was sentenced to three years on each, to be concurrent with sentence passed on previous similar charge. Thomas Tong was found not guilty of theft from the person. Tx.maku, Feb. 15.
At the Supreme Court last week a man was sentenced for housebreaking and theft near Timaru. Two men were concerned in the offence, but the second had not been found. He was, however, arrested at Christchurch on Saturday, and, appearing before the Magistrate here to-day, pleaded guilty, and was committed for sentence. After that offence he had separated from the other man, and obtained work on a station near Waimate, and within a week he left, taking /,'i6 belonging to a fellow-employee. He pleaded guilty to both charges, and was commuted tor sentence.
