TAYLOR MEMORIAL.

OVER THREE THOUSAND POUNDS IN HAND.

Christchurch, Feb. xo.

A meeting of the general committee of the Taylor memorial fund was held to-day. Councillor H. Holland presided. The point secretaries (Messrs J. McCombs and C. H. Gilby) presented their report, which was adopted. The hon. treasurer (Mr C. E. Salter) reported that the receipts from subscriptions amounted to ,£3038 19s id ; and iuteresl accrued ,£2B os gd, making a total of amounted to 19s 9d, or which sum ,£3l 18s was for postages.

The draft deed of the trust prepared by Mr Salter was approved alter certain slight modifications were made, and the following were appointed trustees ;—Messrs H, W. Bishop, S.M., Geo. T. Booth, G. Bowrou, H, Cole and C, E. Salter.
