PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

A meeting of tbe District Committee of the Foxton charge of the Presbyterian Church was held at Glen Oroua yesterday. Present: Rev McKenzie (interim moderator), Messrs Matheson, McCully and Richardson (Tiakitahuna), Wilton (Raugiotu), Farmer and Costall (Glen Oroua), and Speirs and Horublow (Foxton). The Rev P. B. Fraser, supervisor of Home Missions, etc., was also in attendance. After the financial statement had been discussed, the Rev Fraser addressed the meeting in respect to church extension matters. It was unanimously decided to increase the stipend of the incoming minister by £2s per annum. A meeting of session was subsequently held, and it was decided to convene congregational meetings in the various centres with respect to filling the vacancy. The members of committee were hospitably entertained by Mr and Mrs Farmer.
