PARRAS’ CIRCUS.
Perras’ circus will show in Poxton to-morrow and Saturday nights and is sure to atttract a large crowd. What is described as the child wonder of the age will give his exhibition ot the thrilling “ slide for life ” from the top ot the tent pole to the ground, over a distance of roolt. This is a free show for the benefit of all residents. Some of the principal features ot the circus will be the cowboy performers in their original acts on the apparatus used in an up-to-date circus. One special turn will be throwing a double-front somersault from the rings over six men, also a back somersault over four men. The silver wire artists are reported to be in good lorm, and the management declare that this one act alone is well worth the price of admission. These juvenile wonders roll round globes on the wire with their feet. It is an act that has never been attempted by any other performers in the world. The Madame Stirling troupe of educated pets should amuse and excite the admiration of the public. The trick pony also should cause much amusement, when the equestrians try to ride it round the ring. Popular prices will be charged.
PICTURE SHOW. Tremendous attraction for Saturday night. Every single item is a star. “ The Melbourne Cup, 1911,” the biggest event ol the year, shown as clearly and as distinctly as if you were actually on the course. “ Captain Kate,” this is a great star animal drama intensely thrilling and exciting all through. ‘‘Saved by Pony Express,” another great drama of more than usual merit, carrying the watchers along with it breathless with admiration and wonder. Other interesting items such as “ King George at Aldershot ” and a cow-boy drama entitled “The Romance ol Bar O,” splendid subjects, clear and vivid. A beautiful scenic film “ Mleto to Vladicavkaz ” will charm everyone. And the comics, well you will see some of the luuiest things you ever saw in your life. ‘‘ A Pearl of a Boy ” will simply send you into fits oi laughter, and 11 Modern Courtship ” is too funny to be described, and “ Dogs not Allowed ” Will cap everything. The manager has gone to considerable trouble to procure tip top programmes for the holiday nights and every film is the very best of its kind. The pictures shown in Poxton are equal to any shown in the large centres.
