BOWLING.

On Saturday several games were played in the different competitions. Unfortunately the high wind prevaling, at times took command of the bowls, and militated against good play. There were a couple of surprises when Munro ousted Clemett, and when Harvey and Rimmer went under to Munro and Whibley. The time for the completion of the first round for the trophies has been extended to Saturday, the 20th instant, and all games unplayed by that date will be forfeited. The scores in Saturday’s games were as follow : Stunell’s trophy (singles). — Whibley (1) 30, defeated Harvey (scr) 14; Munro (5) 22, beat Clemett (1) 19 ; Ross (5; 29, defeated Kellow (5) 15. Hennessy’s Trophies (pairs).— Munro (5) and Whibley (1) 22, defeated Harvey (2) and Rimmer (scr) 19.
