ENTERTAINMENTS.

PICTURE SHOW

The pictures to-night are really a fine lot of subjects. “ His Mother,” is a very pathetic story oi how a son goes to America to study for a doctor, and after some years is successful, the mother left behind longing for her son decides to follow him. When she arrives she finds her sou on the eve of marriage with a beautiful American girl. The sou is very pleased to see his mother aud wonders what his fiance will think of the position. So he decides to put her iu a country home for a time. How the mother goes away aud is found again and brought home makes a very human aud touching story. “Betty becomes a Maid” is a pretty comedy and well worth seeing, showing how a younger daughter becomes a maid iu order that there shall be no hitch in the proceedings, while her elder sister is entertaining a millionaire suitor, the millionaire meets Betty and the complications that follow keep one interested and amused. “The Sea Shores of Italy” is a beautiful film showing some magnificent views of the great billows rolling in on the shores with realistic moon effects which makes a lovely picture. The rest of the programme is quite as good as the items described above.
