MOUTOA DRAINAGE BOARD.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the Moutoa Drainage Board was held iu the Board’s office last night. Present : Messrs B. G. Gower (chairman), W. S. Carter, H. G. Hammond and ‘O. R. Robinson.
The clerk reported the amount to credit of loan account at 10s 1 id, and to general account 14s sd. Since last meeting wages amounting to ,£23 os 3d had been paid. The interest on loan amounting to 16 nd would be due on the first proximo. Correspondence was read from Dr. Wall asking that the drain connecting with his property be cleared.—lt was decided to notify him that the Board proposes dealing with all drains under its control at the proper season. Accounts amountiag to jC* 5 6s Sd against loan account and £8 7s 5d against general account were passed for payment. The overseer reported that since last meeting about seven chains of new drain had been completed for 15 days dredging, giving an average of about 153 yards of spoil per day.
Other routine business was transacted and the meeting terminated.
