FIRE AT LEVIN
Messrs Hitchiugs, Hankins’ and Company’s premises at Levin were totally destroyed by fire on Saturday evening, Part of the premises were sublet to the Levin Implement Company and the Masonic body. Insurances. Hitchiugs and Hankins : ,£1,700 on building, in the Ocean Office ; stock and plant, £I,OOO in State Office, and ,£750 iu the Ocean. Levin Implement Company’s building: .£SOO insurance in the Ocean.
Masonic Lougeroom ; £IOO on the furnishings in the London, Liverpool and Globe. Apparently the fire started in the grain store. Nothing to account ior the outbreak has been ascertained.
