BOWLING.

A challenge match was played between the following rinks on Saturday afternoon, and resulted as follows : Petrie Barber Rimmer Woods Whibley Spring Henuessy (s) 10 Stunnell (s) 28 A meetiug of the Club Committee was held iu the pavilion on Saturday, Mr Henuessy presiding. Several matters connected with the forthcoming carnival were dealt with, aud it was decided to purchase a mower from Mr Spring. The caretaker reported that a certain weed was spreading over the green, which it was found impossible to exterminate with the mower. The committee inspected the portion ot the green affected, and the ground committee will take steps to eradicate it.
