STABBING AFFRAY.
Hamilton, November 10. A sensational stabbing affray occurred at Franckton Junction early on Saturday evening, resulting in three men receiving wounds necessitating their being taken to the hospital. It appears that a Dane named Axel Snartinge, about thirty years of age, was talking to Edmond Robinson, an elderly man, in the roadway, and in the course of conversation accused the latter of taking his (Suartinge’s) money. Robinson denied this, when suddenly Snartinge drew a Pampa pocket-knife and stabbed Robinson in the stomach. Other men near by came up and Snartinge attacked them, stabbing Emil Henseu and John Graham also in the stomach, the knife in each case perforating. Snartinge then went in the direction of Hamilton, but was pursued and arrested by the police. The wounded men are all in a dangerous condition. Snartinge appears at the Magistrate’s Court in the morning, and a remand will be asked for.
