AWAHOU v. MAITAI
The Shield match, between the Awahou and Maitai teams, was played on the Park pitch on Saturday. Maitai batted first, but could not stand up to the bowling of Redgrave and Death, and when the last wicket fell the score stood at 56, Clarke, of the Maitai team, was the only one to reach double figures, his score being 29. Redgrave and Bowe opened for Awahou. When stumps were drawn Awahou had lost 3 wickets for t4y. Appended are the scores : Maitai ist Innings.
