O’HonueH’s ch.g. Dos Angelos, by San Francisco — JL,a Valiers, aged, (iuc. 31b pen,), 9.3, (G. J. Pine) ... 3 Fifteen starters. Time, 3mm 28 2-ssec. The race was a very pretty one throughout. The finish was very exciting and it was “anybody’s race’’ a hundred yards from home. After a great struggle in the last few yards Vice-Admiral, under punishment, won by half a length. It was a great betting race, the amount going on the machine being by far the largest recorded on any race in the Dominion. The winner and his rider received a great reception on returning to scale.
