OVERDUE SHIP ARRIVES.
ANXIETY FEET FOR THK MARY ISABEL,. Auckland, Nov. 2. After a lengthy passage of twenty-eight days from Wellington to Auckland, the big Italian sailer Australia arrived this afternoon. The vessel left Wellington on October sth, with the balance of her cargo of tiles from Marseilles. Under ordinary circumstances the sailer should have accomplished the trip in twelve days, but she encountered the heavy storms and gales so prevalent about a fortnight ago, and was blown out of her course. No word has been received as to the whereabouts of the iron barquentiue Mary Isabel, now fifty-three days out from Whaugape to Sydney. Cousideiabie anxiety is tell tor the vessel’s safely. It is possible that she may have been dismasted or blown far out of her course, but even under these circumstances it would be expected that she would have been sighted bv some vessel ere this.
