SUCCESSFUL PUPILS AT PALMERSTON SHOW.
The following local State school children secured awards at the Palmerston Show: Mapping (North Island), Hazel Pearson 3, Norman Mackay v.h.c. : brushwork, uuder 14, colour design, Hazel Pearson 1, Ivy Crowe v.h.c. Judge’s remark : One of the best classes I have ever seen. The right kind of treatment has been understood and applied. Modelling and plasticene, Austin Charles 2 ; relief map of district, under 12, William !! >ker 1, and Jack Hornblow mem ; cardboard and carton modelling, six models, pupils St. 11., Stanley Collins 1, Myrtle Easton 2, Phillip Chalk 3. Judge’s remark: All entries in this class were in the “flat,” but as there were no models in the ‘-‘solid” competing, they were judged on their merits.
