THE BOATING FATALITY
MISS O’SULLIVAN’S BODY RECOVERED.
WASHED UP ON OTAKI
BEACH
Advice was received in F'oxtou yesterday that a body, believed to be that of Miss O’Sullivan, one ol the victims of the fatality at the Manawatu Heads on Sunday, had been picked up ou the Otaki Beach. Major O’Sullivan, who was iu Foxton, at once proceeded to Otaki and identified the body as that ol his daughter. Mr Nation, coroner, does not think an inquest necessary.
No trace has vet been found o! Mr Robert’s two sous. The river in the vicinity ol the accident has been thoroughly dragged, aud those engaged iu the search are now of opinion that the bodies have been washed out to sea and have ceased dragging operations. The sea beach, both north aud south of the river is being searched. Constable Sweeney left this morning ou horseback, aud will patrol the southern beach.
