STOCK REPORT.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., Palmerston North, report:— At Himataugi on Monday we had an entry of 1000 sheep and over 700 head of cattle. Competition was brisk and all lines of sheep were sold. Cattle came forward in excess of advertised numbers and the capacity of the yards were taxed to the utmost, over 100 different lots being offered. The Barbers’ yearlings failed to find buyers although £2 10s was offered for the heifers and £3 5s for the steers but with this exception very little was turned out unsold. A keen demand existed for young dairy heifers to go to the bull and a very nice line of well grown good conditioned yearling heifers —Jersey Aryshire cross, offered on account of Mr R.
