OBITUARY.
Mr A. R, Mayo, the leading orchardist of the Redding district, dropped dead on Tuesday. After milking a cow, he fell down and was picked up dead. The cause of death is attributed to heart disease. Deceased’s knowledge of Iruit growing, horticulture, aud farming generally was profound, aud he was most willing to give others the benefit of his knowledge. He was well-known as a judge at flower shows aud school gardens. He was a prominent member of the Feilding A, aud P. Association. After living some years at Palmerston, he came to Aorangi ten years ago. Deceased leaves a wife and family of small children.
