FOXTON CLUB’S ANNUAL

MEETING

The annual general meeting of the Foxton Cricket Club was held in the Council Chamber last night. Mr W. E. Bullard presided, and there was a very satisfactory attendance.

The annual report and balancesheet, showing a debit balance, was read and adopted. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:

Patron, Mr F. W. Frankland ; president, Mr G. H. Stiles ; secretary and treasurer, Mr W. S. Stewart; Management Committee, Messrs Clingberg, W. Bullard and Guilder; selection committee, Messrs Nye and Bullard ; delegates to Association. Messrs Nye, Muuro and Guilder.

The election of a captain and vice-captain was held over until the first match.

The subscription fee lor the season was fixed at five shillings.

Other matters iu connection with the Club were discussed, and the meeting terminated.

AWAHOU CLUB

The adjourned meeting of the newly-formed Awahou Club was held in the Mauawatu Hotel last night. Mr P. Lurasdeu occupied the chair, and there was a large attendance.

The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:— Patron, Mr P. Lumsdeu; president, Mr Geo. Coley ; vice-presi-dents, Messrs 11. Coley, D. Green, H. S. Munro, McKenzie, and W. Gray ; secretary, Mr T. Brock ; treasurer, Mr C. Hunt . captain, Mr W. Redgrave ; vicecaptain, Mr Rore Pitibira; management committee, Messrs Hunt, Lutnsden, Knewstub, Brock and Redgrave; selection committee, Messrs F. Martin, Redgrave and Rore Pitihira ; delegates to the Association, Messrs Hunt and Redgrave. Mr D. Green signified his intention of pro-I •>iiug a ros 6d ball to the cia - K...ding on the first round of the competition.
