Nawer, Sept. 14,

A lad named Frank Bennett, aged 17, sou of Mr K. W. Bennett, baker, Taradale, met with a serious accident at Holt’s mill this morning. He was working at a circular saw, clearing the timber alter it had been sawn. He passed his left hand over to adjust the gauge, and the hand slipped, coming down on the rapidly-revolving saw, which cleanly severed it at the wrist.
