BOROUGH FINANCES.
At last night’s meeting of the Borough Council the treasurer’s report was read and adopted and is as follows :
“Since the last monthly meeting of the Council I have paid into the District Fund Account ,£348 15s qd, into town hall account £S6 4s, and into cemetery account £3. The bank balances this day were : District Fund Account ,£540 5s 3d at debit, town hall account £1075 5s 8d at credit, cemetery account £l3 18s 3d at credit, and gas loan account ,£293 9s id at credit, the separate accounts at credit are ; Town hall account ,£1073 2s 3d, gas works loan account ,£3l 17s 6d, interest account 4s Bd, cemetery account ,£lO ns 3d, and the following accounts are overdrawn ; General account 15s od, library account ,£l2 7s gd, gas works account 12s 2d, reserves account £1 3s, sanitation account ,£l2O 5s ixd. There are still two or three subscriptions to Town Hall Fund unpaid.”
