GRAND NATIONAL MEETING. The weather was fine but cold for the second day of the Canterbury Jockey Club’s Grand National meeting on Thursday. There was again a very large attendance, and the racing generally was interesting. The sum of ,£30,680 passed through the totalisator as against ,£19,721 on the second day last year when bookmakers were licensed.
