FIRST AID.

The examination results of the local class on First Aid are to hand. The examination was conducted by Dr. Peach, of Palmerston N., on the 14th ult. Claud H. Speirs 85 per cent. Herbert Hussey 78 ~ ~ H. C. Patterson 75 ~ ~ Rub. Ashmore 70 ~ ~ Mervyn Dittle|ohn67 ~ ~ Frank Vertegian 65 ~ ~ In his accompanying report Dr. Peach says : “All the candidates have done very well considering it is their first attempt, and I am looking forward to meeting them all again.” At a meeting held last night it was unanimously decided by those present to commence the second course of First Aid to the injured. The balance-sheet was presented by the Secretary. A hearty vote of thanks was tendered to Dr. Mandl for his lectures and work in connection with the class, and the secretary was instructed to write to Dr. Mandl accordingly.
