SCULLING CHAMPIONSHIP.
Sydney, July 26. Experts anticipate that Saturday’s sculling race between Arnst and Pearce will provide the fastest race on record, at least for the first mile. Both competitors are rowing in their top form. They will have a strong tide, and probably the wind in their lavour. During the recent heavy weather they have been training in short, hard sprints under the shelter of the headlands, each showing marvellous pace. Tremendous interest is centred on the race, and a big attendance is expected.
