OBITUARY.

MR. JOHN SANSON, OF GtEN OROUA. It is with regret that we record the sudden death of Mr John Sanson, of Glen Oroua, which occurred yesterday afternoon. The late Mr Sanson, who was 54 years ot age, had been ailing only for a day or two, and his death came as a great surprise. Mr Sanson has lived in the Manawatu district for over thirty years, twenty of which were spent at Glen Oroua in farming occupations. He was chairman ot the Glen Oroua School Committee, Rongotea Chamber of Commerce, and a director of the Glen Oroua Dairy Company, and a prominent member of the Methodist Church. His father, the late Mr Henry Sanson, was one of the founders of the township of Sanson. He leaves a wife and family of five —two sons and three daughters.
