PLAGUE IN AUCKLAND.
ANOTHER CASE. Auckland, May 29. A case which was at first thought to be typhoid fever when admitted to the Auckland hospital has now been diagnosed as bubonic plague. The patient is a man. Though he is seriously ill he is not considered to be in a dangerous condition. It is reported that some rats, alleged to be plague-infected, have been found in cellars adjoining Queen street.
