MANAWATU HUNT CLUB.
A committee meeting of the above was held on Saturday evening, Mr S. R. Lancaster presiding over a large attendance. The following new members were elected ;—Miss Buchanan, Messrs F. G. Bailey, M. Regan, L. McEwen, W. Jolley, F, N. Robinson, P. Richardson, A Fee, R. Larkins, F. Robinson, J. R. Seddon, E. Stace, E. Burrell, W. Clapham, J. Crook, V. Dimock, Hugh Taylor, W. Hoult, J. Briscoe, W. Farlaud, N. Bluuden, S. Domett, and R. H. Robinson. Mr J. L. Buick was appointed Deputy-Master for Jackeytown and Messrs J. Donaldson and F. Robinson to similar positions at Himatangi and Foxtou respectively. The fixtures for the remainder of the season were arranged as follows :—Tuesday, May 30th, Cheltenham ; Wednesday, May 31st, Kimboltou ; Saturday, June 3rd, Himatangi; Wednesday, June 7th, Te Matai; Saturday, June 10th, Levin ; Monday, June 12th, Manakau; Wednesday, June 14th, Otaki ; Saturday, June 17th, Rangitikei Line ; Friday, June 23rd, Mr A. Sutherland’s, Palmerston ; Monday, June 26th, Kiwitea ; Wednesday, June 28th, Jackeytown ; Saturday, July xst. Levin ; Monday, July 3rd, Manakau ; Wednesday, July sth, Foxtou ; Saturday, July Bth, Fitzherbert Blast ; Wednesday, July 12th, Kiwitea ; Saturday, July 15th, Carnarvon ; Wednesday, July 19th, Waikauae ; Saturday, July 22nd, Rangitikei Line; Saturday, July 2.9 th, Jackeytown.
The next hunt is advertised to take place at Himatangi on Saturday next. The throw oil will be at Mr Farmer’s property at 2.30 p.m., and the “kill” will take place 011 Mr Geo. Coley’s property. This course is recognised as one of the best in the district and should attract a number of follower*. The public are cordially invited to witness the run.
