After the steps already taken in reference to joining the Horowhenua Union had been explained to the meeting it was unanimously decided, on the motion of Mr White, secodded by Mr Whibley, that a club be formed to be called the Foxton Football* Club, and that three teams —a senior, junior, and third class —be entered in the Horowhenua Rugby Union’s competitions. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:— Patron, Mr O. R. Robinson ; President, Dr. Adams; Vice-Presi-dents, Messrs H. Witchell, G. C. Coley, C. E. Robinson, and H. S. Munro; secretary, Mr F. D. Whibley; treasurer, Mr J. R. Hynes; management committee, Messrs W. J. White, O. F. Cook, E. Wanklyu, J. Desmond, and T. Curtis; selection committee; Messrs Dr. Adams, W. J. White, and E. Wanklyn. The election of captain, vice-captain and coach was held over. It was decided that the Club’s colours be broad blue and. white hoops and white knickers. The subscription fee was fixed at five shillings for senior and junior players and third class players will be free. It was resolved to open the season with a scratch match on the racecourse on Saturday next.

Mr H. Dimant signified his intention of presenting trophies to the best back and forward in the senior team and was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for his offer.

Other routine business was also transacted and the meeting terminated alter passing a vote of thanks to the chair.
