PLAGUE IN AUCKLAND.
TWO MORE CASES
INFECTION FROM A RAT
Auckland, May 4. Two fresh cases of plague have been reported. A lad of eighteen years of age, and a young woman about 25, were admitted to the quarantine station of Auckland Hospital last evening, and bacteriological examination proved that both had been infected with plague. The source of infection has been traced to a dead rat found in the premises in which both patients were employed.
