NOMINATIONS

As previously mentioned, the Mayor of Palmerston, Mr J. A. Nash, has been re-elected unopposed to represent Palmerston North on the Foxton Harbour Bnard; Levin has also re-elected unopposed its Mayor, Mr B. R. Gardener; Feilding has elected Cr Harford unopposed (Feilding’s previous representative on the Board was Cr. Tolley); Manawatu County Council, through an oversight or misunderstanding, omitted to call lor nominations lor the position, but the Council has, we understand, submitted the name of Cr W. E. Barber to the Government for appointment ; the Government nominee is Mr W. Wood, ex-M.P. Foxtou’s nominees are Messrs Henuessy and Perrean and Crs Gibbs and Rimmer.
