RUSSIAN BARBARITIES.

St. Petersburg, March 25

Sixteen warders at Ekatermiburg have been sentenced to terms of imprisonment varying from a month to two years and a half for cruelty to prisoners. Evidence was given by one hundred witnesses, sixty of whom were victims of thrashings with knots made of ox tendons wrapped in strips of raw hide, and the ends bound with iron wire. Those flogged included political prisoners.
