SETTLER S TERRIBLE DEATH.

Keilimng, March 23. A shocking tragedy occurred at Colytou last night, resulting in the death of Stephen Melvin, an old settler. Melvin, who had had an engineering training, was experimenting with an acetylene gas plant, made by himselt with a milk can and an oil drum, when an explosion took place. Terrible injuries were inflicted on Melvin’s head, and he died in half an hour.
