DESTRUCTIVE CYCLONE.
Brisbane, March 19. A telegram from Port Douglas (forty miles north-west of Cairns) states that a terrific cyclone on the 16 th levelled practically every building in the town. Two persons were killed, and hundreds are homeless. Relief is asked for. The township of Mossmau was also devastated. The telegraphic service is disorganised, and details are meagre.
