OBITUARY.

EX-BISHOP OF WAIAPU. London, March 18. The death is announced of Dr. Stuart, formerly Bishop of Waiapu. The Right Rev. Edward Craig Stuart was born in 1527, and was the sou of Mr Alexander Stuart, of Edinburgh. He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin, where he took the Vice-Chancellor’s prize for divinity. Alter being ordained, he was stationed in India from 1851 to 1872. In 1877 he was consecrated Bishop of Waiapu, remaining in Napier until 1894, when he resigned and went to Persia as a missionary.
