An entrance was effected through an unprotected window at the side of the shop above the roof of the adjoining premises. The shop and front window were lighted as usual, the window being completely exposed to the view of anyone passing, yet the contents of the window were completely cleared, and the show case on the counter emptied on the floor, which waj strewn with ink, empty jewellery cases and trays. A very careful selection had been made, nothing of a bulky nature being taken.
