In the Mouse of Commons, the First Lord of the Admiralty, Mr McKenna, in reply to a question by Mr Griffiths, Conservative member for Wednesbury, said it would be premature to discuss Sir Joseph Ward’s proposals. They should more properly be reserved for discussion at the Imperial Conference. THIS AUSTRALIAN SCHKME. Fkrth, March 16. The Minister for Defence, Senator Pearce, states that the Government is prepared to carry Admiral Sir Reginald Henderson’s report into effect if the people will give the power. Phases of the report cannot be touched for years, but the immediate programme is an extensive one.
