A PLUCKY RESCUE.

New Plymouth, March 16

Two youngsters, about seven or eight years of age, were bathing on the open beach at Moturoathis afternoon, when one got info difficulties beyond his depth. Miss Richmond, who was bathing near by, gallantly responded to his cries for help, and held him up till two brothers named Charters rushed in and relieved her of her charge. She then promptly fainted in the water, and had to be carried ashore. The boy was revived in about a quarter of an hour. Neither is the worse for the experience.
