CRICKET.
The competition between the Foxton and Himatangi Cricket Clubs for the Austin Shield has reached a very interesting stage, as, with two more matches to play the teams are on equal terms. Seveu matches have been played, aud each team has three wins to its credit, aud oue match was drawn. One of Foxton’s wins was a forfeit. The competition will be continued to-morrow afternoon, the match being played on the Himatangi ground. The following team has been selected to represent Foxtonßowe, Clingberg, Kdliu, livaus, Howe, Knewstub, Munro, Robinson, Ward, Watson, aud York. The drag will leave the Triangle between one o’clock and hall-past. Players are requested to roll up as early as possible.
