ALL SAINTS’ SUNDAY SCHOOL.
During the past year good work has been done in this Sunday school. The superintended, Mr W. S. Stewart, and his staff of teachers, have done their best to uplift the scholars, aud to instruct them in spiritual things. The vicar examined the school on the first four Sundays in this year, and found that the attendance had been better than during previous years, and the knowledge of the catechism was good. The following have obtained the requisite number of marks for prizes. Children who have obtained 4-SUIS of the total receive an “honour, prize, others who totalled 3-SUIS receive a second prize : Honour prizes.—Dlsie Robinson (dux), Klsie King, Willie King, Carrie Robinson, May Bayliss, Doris Robinson.
Second prizes.—Agatha Bowden, Sarah Bowden, Olive Nye, t,izzie Bowden, Erica Chalmers, Nellie Robinson, Silas Moran, Willie Baker, Bertie Wyeth, Percy Robinson, Darcy Ball, Arthur Thompson, Arthur Baker, Stanley Collins, Edward Petersen, Grace Robinson, Beatrice Page, Eva Thompson, Milva Collins, Maggie Procter, Hilda Thompson. Infants. —Irene Bayliss (top) Nellie Robinson, Edna Collins, May Bradley, Myrtle Andrews, Marcia Small, Maggie Reid, Doris Bradley, Maud Reid, John Bayliss, Basil Teviotdale, Carl Philips, Edward Thompson, Roy Parker. Two special prizes have been given, one by Mrs A. M. Nye, a “ Boy’s Own Annual” for the boy obtaining the highest marks in the school, which has been won by Willie King, and the other, a memorial prize donated by Mrs Podmore, to be given to the boy chosen by the vicar.
Mr. Alf Fraser received word that his father’s health is causing the family some anxiety, and he left tor Wellington to-day.
