BOWLING.

Ou Tuesday next the holders of the Manawatu Ferns will have to defend them from their club mates Messrs Hopper, Speirs, Mairs and Whibley, who have issued a challenge. Play will start about 4 o’clock. Otaki will be the next outside club to pay Foxtou a visit in search of the Mauawatu Ferns. Wednesday, 22nd inst., will see them here.

Wednesday next will see the dub resume playing for the Club Feathers. Players are requested to roll up in force. We are to have our lady players at last. Their enthusiasm has been gradually working up and reached its culminating point after the match with Shannon ou Wednesday, when quite a number notified the secretary they were prepared to play. Mr Spriug has promised he will prepare the best rink on the green for them.
