i TAKAPUNA MEETING. The Takapuna Jockey Club’s summer meeting was brought to a close on Saturday last. The weather was glorious and the attendance was large. The racing on the whole was of an interesting nature there being some very close finishes. The sum of ,£17,011 being passed through the machine. The Canterbury Jockey Club’s summer meeting was brought to a conclusion on Saturday last in beautiful weather. The attendance was again large and the racing interesting. The amount that passed through the totalisator was 2939°, making a total of ,£17,257 for the meeting, as against ,£7744 for last year. Appended are the results = —
