A spring under the masonry caused the bursting of a, reservoir containing 250,000 cubic metres of water at Huelva at night time, and the torrents overwhelmed huts ol sleeping men, destroyed sections of the mining railway, and derailed one train, killing the fireman and amputating the driver’s two legs. At least eleven were killed.
